Elissa Mlnarcik Earns Multiple First-Place Finishes

🎳 Martin Stickney named to All-Tournament Team!
Congratulations to SJHS junior Martin Stickney on being named to the All-Tournament Bowling Team! The 6th annual Saint Vincent College Bearcat Challenge Bowling Tournament took place at Wildlife Lanes in Lower Burrell, PA on January 3, 2026. The event was open to teams across the region, as well as individuals that did not have a full high school team participating.Great job, Martin!

Spartans Host Competitive 2025 Holiday Basketball Tournament
The 2025 Saint Joseph High School Basketball Holiday Tournament took place on December 29 and 30 at the Walter Dlubak Athletic Center. This year the Spartans welcomed teams from Burrell, Bishop Canevin, Neshannock, and Cheswick Christian. 🏀 At the girls' championship game, Neshannock took home the title, defeating runner-up Saint Joseph. Final score: 30-71. 🏀 At the boys' championship game, Burrell triumphed over our Spartans. Final score: 29-55. Congratulations to this year's winners!

Jimmy Giannetta '23 Named AMCC Player of the Week
Congratulations to Saint Joseph High School Class of 2023 graduate Jimmy Giannetta on being named the AMCC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the period running from December 15-23, 2025.Jimmy is currently a junior at Carlow University, where he serves as a guard for the Celtics. During his senior year at SJHS, Jimmy was recognized by TribHSSN with an A-K Valley Senior Spotlight and nominated for the WPIAL Sportsmanship Award.

The 2025 Saint Joseph High School Basketball Tip-Off Tournament took place on December 5 and 6 at the Walter Dlubak Athletic Center. This year the Spartans welcomed teams from Highlands, Steel Valley, and West Allegheny.🏀 At the girls' championship game, West Allegheny took home the title, defeating runner-up Saint Joseph 64-35.🏀 At the boys' championship game, Highlands triumphed over our Spartans 65-40.Congratulations to this year's winners!

Kate Giannetta Makes SJHS Volleyball History
Saint Joseph High School senior Kate Giannetta has been named to the 2025 Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association (PVAC) Girls’ All-State selections.Kate is the first-ever SJHS player to receive this year’s All-State honor and was also the first from the school to earn an All-WPIAL selection as a sophomore two years ago.
