Biography:

EDUCATION: Coach Dutelle graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mathematics and Economics. He has been a math teacher in the Fox Chapel Area School District for more than 15 years. 

BIO & EXPERIENCE:

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Coach Dutelle honed his athletic skills on the fields and courts of Syracuse, NY, playing soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. After high school, he continued his athletic journey by playing on a club soccer team at Pitt. 

Coach Dutelle is a dedicated basketball coach with 17 years of experience across various levels, from middle to high school. He coached JV and Varsity teams at Fox Chapel and Montour, and in 2023 became the Girls Varsity Basketball Coach for Saint Joseph High School. During his inaugural season he led the team to the final round of the WPIAL Class A Girls Basketball Championships, a first in school history. He is passionate about developing young talent through AAU basketball and is excited to lead a SLAAM basketball team this summer. 

SPORT INFO:

Spartan Girls Basketball starts open gym practice sessions in the Fall with the official season kicking off in November. The team also regularly participates in a Fall league and Summer league. Their home gym is at Saint Joseph High School, Walter Dlubak Athletic Center.
