Biography:
EDUCATION: Coach Cook is a proud graduate of Saint Joseph High School (2017). She attended Waynesburg University where she studied Early Childhood and Special Education from 2017-2019. She later transferred to California University of Pennsylvania (now Pennsylvania Western University) and earned both her bachelor's (2020) and master's (2023) degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Coach Cook also earned a certificate in American Sign Language from the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) in 2021.
BIO & EXPERIENCE:
Coach Cook is a multi-talented athlete, having played soccer, basketball, and track and field in elementary and middle school. In 8th grade, she began playing volleyball, continuing through high school at Saint Joe’s up through her sophomore year at Waynesburg University. In addition to her school teams, Coach Cook was actively involved in club volleyball with the Spartans Volleyball Club and also participated in a summer sand volleyball league.
Coach Cook began coaching in high school, assisting with the Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament School (OLMBSS) girls volleyball team. This past year she returned to Saint Joseph High School for her first official coaching position as the JV girls volleyball head coach. Coach Cook is proud to be a part of the historic 2024 season, assisting Coach McCarthy in leading the girls varsity team in undefeated section play and a monumental playoff run.
SPORT INFO:
Girls Volleyball runs during the Fall season, with practices beginning in August. The Spartans also participate in the Renaissance Volleyball Club Summer League. Their home court is at Saint Joseph High School, Walter Dlubak Athletic Center.
